Mono Slide wear issues.... RESOLVED With pics

Have any of you had any issues with one slide wearing a lot more than the other? A buddy of mine with a 136" Nytro and me with my Attak both find that our right slide wears more than the left. Sometimes ride in the same conditions, very often not. Can't find anything structurally wrong with the suspension. Going to blueprint it this summer to check the straightness and flatness. Wondered if anyone else experienced the same thing.

do you have part number's for the mounts and wheels? I'd like to add Doo wheels in the mid section of my ATTAK.

The wheels are 503-1910-29 $29.99, Supports are 503-1903-89 $7.75

I have the same thing with our two Rages. Did the measuring, everything is equal and sguare. Did alot of weighing using a bathroom scale and blocks of equal height, not the most scientific. There appears to be more weight on the right side, did this in 05/06. For 06/07 and 07/08 I ran with two to three more turns of spring pressure on the right front shock on both sleds and can control the wear on the slides quite even. Hope this helps.

Same with my 07 RTX too.

I actually run 3-5 psi more pressure in the right side float shock to get the handling balanced, but I still see more hyfax wear on the right side.

My best guess is there must be more weight on the right side (oil tank, oil, chaincase, reverse mechanism, starter, coolant tank, radiator...). The left side only has aluminum clutches and a belt so I guess this makes sense.

If you put a scale under each ski and something small under the center of the track (so it can tip either way easily) what do the numbers show?

That's a great idea, if not a little ironic.

to stop the ware i used pioneer performance wheel lowering kit. it worked great and was easy to install. i had almost no slider ware in 2000 miles. the only complaint is that you cannot use any aftermarket wheel (130mm)that has a 6005 removable bearing, the mount rubs on the c clip. so i'm using a rx1 wheel with a 6205 bearing. you need a longer bolt or use some lock tite on the stock bolt
wheel - 8cr 47310 10 xx
long bolt - 95817-10085

the wheels are 22.95 and have held up really well... i run studs on the inside of the track and on the outside edge as well.

thanks for the numbers..
I see now there are 2 posts going on slide wear..mine wore down of course in the same areas as everyone. It got to the line on side in th mid section within 1500mi.

Mine wear on the left side more but I chalked it up to there being more snow on the shoulders of the roads on the right side of the skid then the left.

I ran polaris 5.35 wheels on my RX for 6000 miles and no problems with the rails. Do you have to drill a hole in the rail for the Doo mounts?
I would like to see the 2 hole mount if anyone has a picture of one with the wheel off the sled.

Thanks
