Well visted family this christmas, and what a great time I had,
I was able to finally test my stock apex on some very steep climbling, with some 10 20 foot crevisis at the top, where its so steeeeeep, that as you high mark it instead, you are literally pissing your pants hoping the sled makes the turn.
It was about 4 to 5 feet of new deep powder, and it took me some serious pushing to test my sled on this hill I was looking at, and said to myself before I started the climbe, well if I roll it roll it good, so off I went, the first two attempts I just got to the crevis, and I lacked in confidence and just high marked it, but once I felt good to hit the crevis and go for the top,,,, man did it feel good to creep over the top, and piss down my leg as I felt it was going to stall on the crevis, the boys I was with said I was shooting snow half way down the mountain, as I was creaping over the crevis,,,,.
She may be a heavy machine, but she doesent give up.
If I turbo this machine or what ever to get more horse, I can just emagine what she will do, and better yet, times are telling us 2 stroke is going going bye bye, and four is in.
Oh forgot to tell ya all, I was the only crazy a$$ to break the crevis, out of all the skidoos, and artic cats watching, and waiting for me to roll my sled, all they probablly left saying to themselfs, well, I'll let ya all think to yourselfs what they where probablly saying.
I do know for a fact that some of the sleds present could of done the same climb as me, but didnt have the balls to do it.
Or they just wasent crazy like me. 8)

I think you mean "cornice" not crevis.
Sounds like you had fun!

A picture would have been worth a 1000 words!
I'm glad for you! I still don't have enough confidence (and/or balls) to go over big cornice!

There are two awsome hills, the one I climbed with the nasty cornice, I think was called little bear, or something like that, then their is another real awsome cornice right next to little bear, and that one is just as awsome, but trees below it, little bear was the one I climbed, over to the right hand side of the hill, no trees below that hill, I went just after an awsome snow storm the night before.
Tons of people where their, never did I see less than fifty cars at the trail head each day.
By the way, you need to be very carefull on little bear, in the center of the hill, their is like little pockets half way up, that if you hit them they slow you down, as they are really steep, and you will loose your momentem, and you will high mark instead of breaking the cornice to the top, the worst time to hit the hill was right after the storm, as the wind was blowing very bad after and before the couple storms that hit up their during xmas.
Hell of a great climbe, and hope to go back.
Kerry, where I was at, if you go couple more miles on the trail, you come to a big open meadow, with some great rolling hills to climbe.
Let me know if ya know of where I was at.

Yea wiskey is really bad, I hit the area to the left side, where there was a small open pocket, I did not hit the face of it, but even on the left side it was a bit freeky, but glad I did it.
And beer hill, was a great climb, loved that one.
Thanks for the reply, sorry took so long to respond.
