so I've read on here in one post that these 4 bangers don't start to open up until about 3000km? Any truth to that? I only got 2100 on mine now If so that might answer my other questions
On to Number 2
So I got this sled driving better power/ clutching wise in what snow we got. Haven't had a chance to find any powder. But went for a ride today and found a length of field about 600ft I could run on. About 3 inches of sugary snow with a hard base. Now out of the hole sled hits 10,000rpm and and drops to 95-9000 about 1/3 of that distance. What should or do I need to do to get it to hold that 10-10,8 k rpm ( I'm sure I seen that's where most of these run)? Sled is all stock secondary spring at 9-1 and 70-80 deg (6-1 did not work clutch would open way to easy)
Last one
While running today I still got the hot belt smell even while puttin around ( only had a jacket gloves and work boots on for my little 10 mile ride) so it wasn't full throttle running and braaping other then the 6 field runs. Almost like I'm slipping the belt but no marks or sounds to indicate this. Also like I mentioned all this is without the few extra pounds of riding gear.
So somewhat back to my first question. I had an 07 rtx and it took a lot of miles to get use to it and and I'm wondering if my comparison to that sled is throwing me off. It did seem to pull harder and harder every year and the last year I drove it with just under 20,000kms I could spank any 800 on hard pack trail and me in some loose snow. And it would scream at 10,3-10,7 even 11 the odd time, for hours if we just had a play day Looking for the deepest snow in mb where as the 2011 still seems like a dog. Or Could the handling between the two different rear skids make all the diff in how it feels?
Really debating about selling it if I can't get it to perform like I know it can

Bump. Any insight? Or help as this machine is still baffling me.
Also noticed this tonight. Seems I'm getting carbon build up in the muffler. Never notice it in any other yammy
