Is there any way to uncouple the 121" mono more than the stock transfer rod? I've got the rod set to max transfer, spring and shock on full soft (I'm only 165lbs) and limiter strap all the way out. With studs I can only get the skis about 12" off the ground. My Mach Z without studs (the original SC10 with the ACM nut removed) would lift the skis over two feet when the snow was hardpacked but not icy. I'd really like to get the skis about 3' off the ground on launch. Any aftermarket transfer rods? Or do I just need a whole different skid? Just lookin' to have a little more fun here! I loves wheelies!

Just found this clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbvDQbzL4G0
How's he do that?

take transfer rod out, guys do that on here.

I was wondering if that was an option or if it would risk damaging something in the skid.

yamadog1, you guys got any snow left over there?

I would advise against it.
I had to ride my Attak without the transfer rod for a couple weeks, due to the back mounting bracket failure. The two mounting tabs that are on the bottom of that "W" type arm are now a little tweaked. They're shaped like channel bar and one side started to bend in. I think it's because all the weight being transfered back there.

I honestly can't imagine why anyone wants to ride like this anyway. It was kind of cool at first, but the total lack of control really got to me. Everytime I wanted to turn I had to let off the gas. I must be getting old because one of the things I like the most about my Attak is how it can stay planted when I gun it off the line. I love the control of this sled.

I have my transfer rod out and won't put it back in.That banging sound over every bump is annoying and sounds like I am riding a piece of crap from the 80's.Mine handles good and the jump off the line is crazy.

I like the (big) transfer as much as anyone... I tryed without rod for one day and found it to dangerous for the HP i aim making ...SO what i did is adjust transfer rod a half inch PAST max. which still leaves all kinds of thread for it to hold by... 1300 miles of HARD driving since then and all is good .........................................

That only leaves a 1/4 inch of thread. I don't think thats enough of thread. If that breaks you can tare your track. I am also looking for another alternative for more weight transfer. i have it out right now and i have too much transfer. I almost flip it over lake racing. I think if you replace the thread part with a longer one that should be what we are looking for. Does anyone know if someone is making them? I am going to take mine to a machinist and see what he can do. If anyone already tried it please let me know.

aight im kinda in the same situation i am about 175 lbs. and i want to bring the skiss up my freind has a nytro and he can bring them up and when ever he wants and still has good turning ability.. is there any way you could set your shocks different or is it all with the transfer rod?

Stop playing with the transfer rod and get a cobra track and let the fun start!!!LOL.Best thing I ever did to it. :-o
