Congrats to the guys over at Mott/Smith racing for once again raising the bar on the asphalt. Over the weekend they set a new world record ET and speed at the 1/4 mile Martin Michigan track at the Amsnow Shootout. They ran a 7.39 at 183MPH. Absolutely incredible to think they are closer to runnining in the 6's than 8's. Who would have thought that even as little as 2 years ago? Keep in mind this is full bodied Apex. Again, Contrats to MOTT/SMITH on your mind boggling run.

I am starting thinking oem chassi are faster than purpose built chassis recently.... at least on asphalt.

Mott and Smith racing, broke the asphalt record 5 times in 2 days at the AMSNOW super sled shoot out,

You guys have a great well running team, and a great driver with no fear.. these sleds are monsters and take some skills to handle them.. what makes this really come together is Dennis is laid back lets make small steps kinda guy and I am though it all in type of a guy this combo has made he and I a lot smarter on the way we tune. outlaw sleds are crazy fast and putting them on asphalt is 10 times harder..

I am very happy to be part of getting you guys to your current level... this has just given every other outlaw team some insight that 6's are reachable 200 mph is in 1/4 mile is reachable.. good luck to you all...see you all next year at AMSNOW shootout...

Jamie thanks for putting this all together.. keep up the good work...

an amazing run and record for sure that is truly unreal, top notch team and attitude. if its not to big of a secret anyone know how much boost or turbo size was run on this sled to accomplish such a goal? again amazing job to all that was involved looked like some serious aerodynamics were involved in air dams and such all around this sled and obviously works, and i think chassis efficiency will be coming more and more into play to keep moving forward with speeds on these outlaw sleds as hp seems to be endless.

Congrats to all involved in this astonishing run and the records set. Great team effort makes the results coming no doubt :) Go blue :)
