I'm a really BIG fan of the new bar setup on the Apex Mountain...Has anyone attempted to convert their bars yet on the stock 03-05? If so, what did it cost you? and what was included?

Warden,
I didn't convert over but I did go to a Fly Aero Taper Sno X Mountain Bar. I bought the Bars, Fly 8 " Billet risers from Western Power Sports. I bought a stiffer red mtn brab bar, longer throttle cable and longer brake line from MPI (haven't recieved them yet). I allready had a 3/4" solid block riser and a pivot adapter from my sportech 2" risers that I left in place. The pivot adapter from sportech saved me from needing to purchase a fly pivot adapter.
I cut all wires and spliced them so they were longer. Also, the wire conections are all under the tank cowling for a cleaner look. I then wrapped the wires in 3/8" wire loom from the bars to the engine compartment. I even lengthened the jumper wire for both hand warmers so that they are connected under the hood rather than going straight across from one heater to the other.
Total cost for all was about $300 once it's all said and done. I don't know if the stock Apex parts are cheaper, but if you are going to use the stock parts give Kevin (port-parts) a PM. I have bought a couple items from him and; including the shipping he still beat my dealer on price. Here's a couple pics of my sled with the Fly bars.
