MPI 180 turbo kit

A lot of things can destroy a kit, exhaust leak, vacuum leak, bad clutching, a.s.o.
Believe me, a Nytro MCX180 don't have "lag" if it's working as it should be!
To compare:
1. It use a shorter header then MPI and Push Turbo.
2. It have a special IIC that removes the "Nytro bog", no one else have done it, so it have even cleaner throttle response then an OEM Nytro.

So in "theory" no other kit should have better response, and i have never heard of another 180 kit beat it, so the sled you drove should be looked over, just a tip.

Thank you, for your understanding and kindness.... I don't own one, I have or had 09 Apex MTX with a Mcx 290 kit on, in the process of building a Nypex rite now. That was just my own opinion, didn't mean to get every buddy all wound up, I think Mcx makes a real good kit, but the one I tried had lag, on that note the 2 MPI that I have tried where prototype, the dealer or person that had them was doing a bit of R&D, he had them dial in pretty good....

I think they do, or did before they started to sell turbo's themselves, you only have to read their ad's, or some of the forum post's, from "time before" their turbo.
Also, what's the reason they waited so long before they released a Turbo kit?

And the reason why he runs one himself maybe only he can answer, but one good reason might be he need's to drive one for development, and development never ends as we all know, so it's a good thing he drives one, and why wouldn't he run one? Nothing beats a Turbo ;).

Our guessing does not help ndnytro's question much, to bad no one owning one have posted actual real world facts, a full season of driving reveals a kit's weaknesses and strengths!

Oh well, then there is something seriously wrong with that sled.
No doubt about that.

I would start checking for exhaust leaks, as TBird stated above..

Had a litte box show up yesterday with mcxpress tape all over it

After riding the sled stock for 3 years finally pulled the trigger on a 180 kit. alredy started the install and going pretty well other than the crappy instructions.

Any tips while installing this thing from you guys running this kit?

You don't wanna mount the TCV where the instructions tells you to.. Cause it will ice up. Also you should get a hose / cable pipe or something to protect the cable to the TCV.

Im going out in the garage now to take some pics of how i did it..
