Does every MPI SC sled with the GEMS module not allow you to blip the throttle at idle? I'm not talking about driving just when its idling and you want to blip the throttle and show off the sweet sound to your doo buddies
Mine will spit and sputter and then catch itself. I currently have the GEMS idle circuit set to 0.5 vs the 3-4 most flat landers use it wont take a blip of the throttle at all on 3-4.
I have no idea why this bothers me

Mine would studder or flood if you blipped the flapper. Had to ease into it but anything off idle the stumbe was gone. Perhapse with CO adjust you can get rid of that.

CO?
COs are are the factory setting you can change to add or subtract fuel from I believe 0 to 2000 RPM? What are your current setting on your box? You also cannot touch the throttle until the MPI box cycles at startup or it will stumble.

I only attempt to blip after its been idling for around 30 seconds or longer. What does CO stand for? I cant remember my settings I remember the idle is 0.5 vs ulmer reccomended of 3, and the middle ones are 5.5.
I'll get the exact settings next time I'm at the shop.
Thanks!

You need to add fuel at lower boost levels on your controller, it is running a little lean at idle on a cold motor. Keep adding until the bog is gone.

There is no bog its extremly snappy at idle its after the snap it spits and sputters. When i add more fuel to it idle it will almost kill.

Install RB3. Powderlites has the maps posted for MPI stage 1 apex so you will be all set. I just bought an MPI kit and I am not going to bother with the gems controller.

Is the RB3 response time faster so you could do that?

I am not sure, but I don't think the response time is the problem. I think it is more the mapping in the gems controller and the inability to fine tune it.
