mpi fuel controller 10lbs

Got a stage 1 kit for apex mount. with headshim running 10 lbs boost on pump fuel. when i picked up the kit from the dealer the only controller that they had was stage 2 controller.just woundering if it made any difference,if not which mode settings are you running at 1000-2000 elevation(-10 to-15 deg.c)and at 5000-9000 elev.Took a quick run on it and it was bogging around quarter throttle but as the rpm climbed it would pull hard but then lean out at around 3/4 throttle.I also got a parker knock box and 02 guage both was going into the red.

forgot 2 ask if anybody knew if the fuel/ boost controller was waterproof or not.Wanted to mount it on the handlebars and which pulles comes with the stage 1 kit.

Your best bet would be to call Mac @ MPI and find out on the fuel controller. He would probably be the only one who can tell you if the parameters inside the fuel control box are the same or not, but if they have a different fuel control box for Stage 1 and Stage 2 then that would leave me to believe that they have different parameters.

The Stage 1 kit comes with 26/22 pulleys from MPI. Many have opted to go to 26/24 pulleys which still net 11 lbs of boost at 10,800 rpm. If you haven't you will want to add an inline fuel pump or change the stock fuel pump to a higher output pump if you are going to run 10+ lbs of boost.

Stage 1 fuel settings sea level:
***You should be running a wideband O2 gauge of some kind to monitor the Air/Fuel ratio***
Mode 1: 2
Mode 2: 3.5
Mode 3: 5.5
Mode 4: 5.5
Mode 5: 1
Mode 6: 8
