Hey guy I got a few ?
I recently bought an 06 apex gt with mpi supercharger on it...ive replaced the gems contoler with pcv and auto tune
My ? Is how do u tell if it is a stage 1or2 charger..I was told by owner it was stage 2..but if u knew him u would know why I was wondering hiw to tell diff..the engine is stock as far as I know with 8500 miles on it..all with charger on it..anything should be worrying about with that milage with it being boosted..and charger gearing??..I talked with allen ulmer he told me 5-7 psi with stock engine and guage shows 10 ..I counted pulleys and im running 22 bottom and 26 top..im at sea level and allen tells me that is 5-7 and that my guage must be bad I realize I could get new guage and see but wondering if anyone is running same set up and u are seeing the lower proper numbers for that set up?
And last I want to put intake out thru hood and want to order a k&n filter to do so but im not hone to measure filter to see what size flange it is so thought someone could help me out with that so I can get something comming in the mail..
Thanks for any help

I was running a MPI Stage 1 with 22/26 on my RX 1 and it was 5.5 to 7 lbs.

My old Apex GT now has a MPI Stage 1 with 23/27 I think and it is 6 lbs.

Both are running in your neck of the woods.

I'm guessing you have a Stage 1. Makes no sense to have a Stage 2 to run 6 lbs.

Now if you were running 26/22 on a Stage 1 you would be making over 10 lbs at sea level. That would require race gas in a stock motor or a head shim or low comp pistons.

Allen know his stuff.

8,500 miles nothing to worry about on a low boost Apex. The 2006 has 10,000 & works like a charm.

BTW, you will become addicted. Trust me, 5 lbs is only the beginning. Welcome to the club.

X2 in being Addicted. Once you run with Boost, you will never want to run without it! Get ready to have sore cheeks from smiling from ear to ear! Enjoy.

Sounds great thanks for the replys..
Another ? We just had 6"of snow and I took er out on the lawn to see how it run and one thing I noticed a fluttering noise when letting off throttle. . and also when just giving enough fuel to enguage clutch like while pulling in a shop slow I understand it is dumping its boost when letting off throttle but should it be doing it when u barely on the throttle?..its all new to me havng charged sled ..so this normal ?..or something I need to adress before the time comes when we full out sledding..thsnks for any help

when letting off the throttle quickly, you will release boost through the blow off valve. So that part sounds normal, as for just pulling in the shop?? I would not think you have that much boost , that the BOV would be dumping air. Do both times the flutter sound about the same? The mod. air box may be making it sound different? I don't know, I have never been around one that has had that done to it.

Yes I get that sound when doing slow pulling in type manuevers. The system makes boost at engagement. I love the sounds when when pulling up to the pumps at the trail, I usually give a little couple flips to let everyone know I'm rocking a blower haha

It even doesn't more if you have a good bov. My new one sounds like a chopper coming in. Nothing sounds sweeter imo
