MPI supercharger on a Vector or Nytro Motor

I was thinking those Rotrex were driven just like Vortech superchargers

The compressor wheels themselves and they way the compressor wheel is driven is much different. Max compressor wheel RPM on the Vortech's are 50,000 rpm. An equivalent sized Rotrex unit would spin the compressor wheel 90,000-120,000rpm. Much higher compressor wheel speeds are attainable because of the way the Rotrex units are driven. The smaller Rotrex units turn the compressor wheel up to 210,000rpm.

Hey Hammer thanks for all the info...the articles are very interesting

More "Good Stuff" (non-Rotrex)

You can see one build with install photos http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?t=34073
Allen -- Stage-II at 15lbs with a 60-shot would be badazz in that chassis :jump:

Basically they are the turbo compressors atached to a fluid 'converter'.. that is my understanding since they spins at turbo speeds.
