Hey guys, I tried to do my own research and I kept coming up with nothing. Tried phoning near and far dealers and they didn’t have the answer. I couldn’t find a thread so I decided to just create my own. I got a wicked deal on an 190 mpi turbo from a dealer going out of business, but it is the trail kit. I have a 2015 mtx and do 90% of my riding in the mountains. What do I need to purchase or leave out of this kit to make it work on my snowmobile?

I believe just need to set it up with a EABC kit and do a through hood intake and you should be all set. I'd get ahold of MPI just to make sure

The the EABC can be used in the mountains since it automatically adjust boost from 4.5 to 8 depending on your elevation. If it was included in your trailkit you should be all set.

It came with the eabc kit and on the package it was in it said optimized for low elevation so I assume that’s just in the fuel programming on the gems controller? I have an afr gauge on order so I will be able to adjust if I need to. I have the turbo all installed and just put in the clutch kit from ulmers, just need to head west and try it out

I was trying to get ahold of mpi and after a while I started a thread on here asking if anyone knew of different contact info or why they weren’t answering, some other guys did some digging into it and it sounds like mpi is no longer in operation

Optimized for low elevation simply meant the kit came with a eabc module. The mountain kits were identical with the exception of no eabc included and then you just simply adjusted for 6lb of boost manually for the higher elevations wherever you rode at. The eabc automatically adjust boost from sea level all the way up to 10,000 feet I believe.

So does the boost controller work with the gems fuel controller to adjust or does the gems need to be setup?

The gems adds more fuel at different RPM ranges and should be set up out of the box from MPI but it won't hurt to check the settings on it though. The eabc handles the amount of boost pressure automatically based off of your elevation. Two separate modules each with different tasks.
