I just picked up a 2009 Nytro XTX with a MPI tunnel cooler. I am wondering if anyone has one of these and has removed the stock rad. This is a trail sled.

I don't think I would looking at what's done to it, with all those mods it will help keep it cool

I really want to keep it cool with the heat issues that these sleds have but I was hoping to free up some space under the hood as well.

Is there any other venting on the hood, side panels, column etc? Also does the charger have the larger oil cooler on it?

The only venting I have is a Alpine headlight kit that really opens up the headlight area. I am thinking of adding the Mountain tech vent.
I am not sure what oil cooler I have, it is about 3" high by 6" long.

I have the MPI tunnel coolers and have deleted the stock rad. Works well, runs cooler than stock and gets some heat out from under the hood and frees up space under the hood as a bonus. Your prologger should be telling you water temp for the engine and oil temp for the s/c. And yes, you have a oil cooler for the s/c. It is that small black cooler. My sleds water temp runs around 155-160 without the stock rad. Enjoy the boosted sled, be ready to grin from ear to ear!!!

Glad to hear it lowered your coolant temps. My prologger is set up for coolant temp but i am not sure about S/C oil temp, I will have to look into that.
I guess worst case4 I can always put the rad back in if needed.

Don't worry, you won't be having to put it back in. The MPI's add 8 feet of cooling in he tunnel, way more than enough. You should be able to get s/c oil temp also, there is a sensor in the s/c oil tank in the nose of the sled. You just have to scroll around the readouts on the pro-logger. it can only show you 2 of the boost# or oil temp or water temp or rev's at a time.

I figured with the 8 feet of added heat exchanger that would be enough cooling. I will look on the oil tank and see if I have that temp sensor, changing all the oil this week anyways.
The Prologger seems to be a nice setup from what I can see, no real use yet though
