Hey guys I'm considering a mtn lite as a back up/ second sled and was worried about it not having enough power and/or suspension for my fat azz!!!! I'm 6'1" and tip em' around 230 lbs. Any feedback would be great! Thanks! :yam:

Yeah, I have read a lot of positive stuff from guys who like the sled but, I've seen some videos and the sled looks like its struggling a bit in some deep stuff. What kind of riding do you do on yours? Trails or off-trail?

i was just asking the same ? where in mass? im in holden. do all my riding in western maine. whats youre first sled?

The mountain will go lots of places in deep stuff. The riding style takes a bit of getting used to and don't be afraid to use the power. We don't ride in the mountains as such ... but in back country with no groomed trails, lots of drifts and lots of quick steep rises. It will go places most other machines will not (unless you really like pulling and digging machines out by hand)..

I'm in Stoneham, MA. I ride mostly out of Rangeley, ME. Buddy of mine keeps a camper up there year round so we have a place to crash.

My primary sled is an 05 Warrior. Love the sled but it is a handful off trail!!! Yeah, I'm crazy. My buddies yell at me all the time but, I make it more times than not. Got stuck good a couple times last year. Hitting some really deep stuff to see if my sled would make it and I almost made it but caught some bushes and that slowed me down....

It's a sickness... everytime I see some deeper, untouched snow I HAVE TO GO FOR IT!!! Hey it's just my style!!! :-o

on FLAT ground in untracked deep snow it is lacking track speed and power. Add hills and you know what will happed. :ORC
It handles very well, well balanced, smooth power, ect... Just not alot there for power in deep snow. Add boost and it's awsome.

i have a mtn lite for a back up sled... haven't had to use it yet :) It will be a buddy/gf sled. It will be tough for me to go from a Turbo Nytro to Stock Phazer but i sure don't want any 2 smoke as a back up sled.

i ride in the woods of Michigan's UP. I ride 95% offtrail. The sled goes just about everywhere I wan't to go. There are some deep ravine's up here and I ride those to death. Sometimes I do wan't more track speed and I will probably gear up for that because it is geared to low. I think they geared it low for mountains but I don't ride mountains and with all the torque it has I can afford to gear up for more track speed. I guess I cannot complain because what I my option, i don't wan't a 153". don't want the weight of the new xtx 144. I'll gear it and possibly turbo it

Hey phzmtnlite you will find that gearing up is not the anwser. I tried the 18 & 19 top sprocket and it just gives up to much. I have the 18 in right now and it's coming out, full throttle track speed is only 38 mph in powder. The stock gearing is tough to beat 50 mph in powder, I was losing enough speed on stuff I know it will climb. If you are still interested I'll sell you both of my gears.
