Hi
Just orded a 2016 mtx 141 se.
Just wondered if anyone knows why the ski stance is adjustable only 2 inches (40-42), when the other mountain models are 4 inches(34,5-38,5).

The 2016 MTX is adjustable via ski spacers, in other words change skis loose that adjustment.

Yes but isn't it the same skis on all the mountain models?
Why not the same adjustability?

Not sure, I just saw the 2016 MTX 162 in person and checked it out.

2016 141 will come with the same 5 inch mountain skis as last year and with the spacer placement you can only go +/- 2 inches. The other longer track MTXs come with the new 7 inch mountain ski so those will have more area between the saddle to play with the spacers and give you more adjustment.
But we have all seen Yamaha come out with something totally different then what the specs show. " subject to change without notice"

Ok, that make sense. The brochure says 7 inch skis on the 141 se too but i guess that's wrong then. Are the 5 inch skis any good?

They are not to bad for a stock skies honestly , just depends where and how you ride.
I pulled them off and run 8inch skydogs with the deeper powder we get, I want a snowmobile not a snow plow.

Got the sled today, looks very good.[emoji4] And it's got the 7 inch mountain skis. So it looks like it can be narrowed to 38 inch, by moving the spacers.

Nice sled! I really like this model.
I have an off topic question for the OP. Your post seems to imply you just ordered this sled from your dealer about a month ago and I see your location says Norway. To get a new sled in about 1 months time seems incredible. Very impressive that this Yamacat made it across the big pond in about 1 month time or am I missing something.

It was already ordered by the dealer. I just bought one he hadn't sold yet.
