Thanks, perfect timing on this, I was just trying to figure out how to install this myself too.

I'm running Excell full exhaust and will be installing the intake kit and PC5 from Ulmer this fall. Is extra cooling needed for this setup? I've read that the extra cooler is really only needed for turbo and supercharged sleds, is this true?
Thanks,
Ryan

I ran with full mods for 2 seasons and had zero issues...last season had nothing but issues...I'm doing it as a precaution and the fact that we've been having lower snow conditions in the past few years... but it's not necessary for those mods.

I have the exact same set-up from Ulmer, and I only had one time where my light came on. It was also warm out, and we were riding slow. Otherwise i haven't had any issues. I just changed the coolant and added water wetter this year, and I am sure that will help too.

You'll need it, mine over heats and adding a supercharger will make it even worse, waiting for the aux heat exchanger for it will make a big difference according to Ulmer.

I am going to add one as well. I know some have removed the radiator after adding the tunnel cooler to open up the space under the hood and keep that heat out from under the hood. From what I have read generally the stock venting is not the best anyways to get air into and through the radiator so it only really does anything when zipping across the lakes w/ minimal snow conditions.

I ran 5000kms with ulmers PCV, intake exhaust set up. Never saw a temp light. Just used the scratchers on a few icy days. Stock cooling system filled with properly mixed coolant.
Maybe if you are unstudded it might be an issue.

I don't have scratchers or studs. studs are a possible option for this winter unless I grab a new track at the snowshow in a week. Then idk if studding a 1.5" track will be a good idea. Id just like to get rid of that damn radiator!
I watch my water temps and some trails it was around 195ish cruising last year. other times in the thicker trails it cruised down into the high 170's. Putting the rear cooler in isn't a bad job since the track/skid will be out. Just rather know if I can delete the radiator or not ahead of time so all the plumbing and bleeding is done.

I would think you would be right where you started if you added a tunnel cooler and then removed the radiator. As i suggested in our PM's your best bet is to add ice scratchers. A tunnel cooler is not going to gain you much if there is no snow dust on a hard packed trail. The radiator and fan will dissipate more heat on a hard packed trail than the tunnel cooler.

The scratchers make a huge difference. If I get a overheating light I can drop my right hand scratcher and the light is out in a few hundred feet. I don't run the scratchers all the time if I have my buddies following me. They get mad at all of the ice chunks I throw at them.
