Anyone try the light weight rear suspension components that yamaha offers on there sleds? How is the ride? Transfer? Playfulness? Does it jack up the rear end at all? Does it in fact shed some pounds?

I have one for sale...new in the box and never installed. I installed a turbo and then decided to go with a Timbersled setup. I am asking $300 and am in SK.

I am in the process of installing my Lightweight Rear Suspension Kit.
I had it since beginning of last season, but I never installed it because I was less than impressed with the attachment between the front swingarm and the tunnel. According to the instructions in the kit, you are supposed to cut off the internal strengthening plate (that connects the front of the tunnel to the cast chassis side) and re-rivet it in a more forward position. This means a severe reduction in strength in the front of the tunnel and also that you can no longer use the standard skid.
This year I am designing and manufacturing proper brackets that does not remove strength and also allows the use of the standard skid. You can read more about this in the AC skid thread.

Does this kit work on 08 nytro mtx sleds as well? And how does it compare to an AC float skid or a timbersled 153 suspension? Weight and performanve wise?

The kit is made for the 2010-2013 MTX SE, 153" as well as 162".
The kit is made by BDX and rumours say it is an identical copy of their AC Float CrMo Kit (I will compare it to a real AC skid at a later stage, just to know for sure). If this is true it should behave like an AC skid with Yamaha rails...
