I am wondering what most are running for secondary setup? I know last year some where testing AC red/white and yellow springs, any long term results? I hate the backshift of the stock spring, I loose alot of RPMs in powder.

Thanks

I just set-up a couple of hundred miles ago with a AC Red/White per info from Skidooboy. Works much better than the stocker. No Engine Mods or Boost!

Thanks, I just happen to have an old red/white spring kickin around might give it a try. I also have a yellow coming. I'll have to test both I guess and see which one works better.

A primary spring with a higher load will also keep the RPM's from falling. Shouldn't be tuning RPM's with the secondary spring.

I was running the stock primary setup but after doing my exhaust I'm having to start over. I got a lot of RPM from the header/can. The weights stock had 13.3's in every hole. I put 17.2's in the tips and am still seeing over 9300 and hitting the rev limiter like crazy. I'm putting 17.2's in the heel and if that's not enough I'll add them to the center holes as well. I have the stock blue/brown/blue spring but if I end up with loaded weights I have the stiff green/white/green which should keep the RPM's from falling and keep a straight shift curve. I'd like to be able to hit 8800 and stay there even with a load. This weekend is testing so I'll post my results early next week.

I am junking the yellow...but I am under boost...it does nto have enough side pressure, have had several stucks where the helix is stuck in about halfway...and primary is completely smeared!!!

got clutching issues right now...getting them squared away hopefully this weekend, as I plan on being in revelstoke next weekend...

I'd have to check but I think I have my Cat yellow spring set at 0 1. I'm not convinced it isn't still a little on the stiff side. I think the secondary is preventing the primary from running the belt all the way up the sheaves but then I'm using Heavy Hitters in the primary. With the setup I have now and the curve of the HH weights I'm down to 51.3 grams in the primary and the sled holds 8650 on a loaded pull. I just can't seem to get the belt to fully ride up the primary to get that last little bit of track speed. I'm wondering if a steeper helix will help force a little more shift in the secondary, or perhaps a softer secondary spring?

I put another 10 D of twist on it, and switched to a 43 helix from my RX MTN and it rips now. Haven't tried it at elevation and have to lighten up my weights still but I definitely am happy with the results.

Cat spring or stock spring? I have a 43, 45 and 47 I'm going to try.
