What is needed to put the mtx ski base on the standard fx nytro? Will the loops, rubber, mounting bolt, and everything else swap over? Or will I have to buy spacers and such to make it fit? Thanks for any help. Looking for a cheaper way to get wider skis than buying a new pair for 400+.

When I put the MTX skis on my Nytro I had to buy new bolts, spacers and the rubber saddle. Some people have said that you can reuse the narrow rubber saddle but I figured I would go with the wide one just in case!

x2 although I used the narrow rubber saddles and they work fine...hope you can get the spacers and bolts cheaper then us Canadians pay...I paid almost as much for the hardware as I did for my second hand MTX skis.
I have some all black slp powder pros with mounts and 4" carbides and they use the narrow rubbers if your interested for $200 plus shipping.

yeah it wasn't cheap! I think just buying the ski bottoms and hardware, it was around $400. The rubber saddles were $80 a side I believe??
need longer mounting bolt and 2 spacers each side (or make your own). recomment the mtx rubbers to minimize chance of lateral movement.

Alright maybe mtx skis are out of the question then. Was really looking to them so we aren't spending 400 dollars. If the nytro gets skis I will most likely get some gen III's then. Thanks for the help guys!

I was still well under $400 for everything and I had mine shipped to Canada...your parts down south are also way cheaper then up here.

you can use washers and bolts from your local hardware store. just have to make shure for grade 8 bolts. not quite as good as oem hardware but works fine as long as you are not constantly hitting stuff. sappling killer did his this way untill he broke one last season on a rock hit.
