The Muskoka property owners are using that tactic to halt the new tree cutting bylaw.
It was in the Bracebridge newspaper.

I don't give a rat's a$$ about the snowmobile trails, but does anyone have any better details about this proposed bylaw? Did it pass first draft back in January? What is the wording of the bylaw and how does it restrict cutting? Reason I ask is that we own 14 acres in Muskoka and I have an uncle who owns 12 -- it would affect both properties. We cut wood from the property for two reasons; forest maintenance and HEATING (which is fine because the rate of regeneration exceeds the rate of cutting).

I don't have the information handy, but on another site I frequent they were dicussing this in the Ontario forum and I believe they said the trail closing issue was deferred for an additional 7-8 weeks.
