Looks good but will look better when you get the warning stickers off the tank and tunnel extension. The tunnel one will come off easy, the tank one is a pain in the #*$&@ but is worth it once removed :ORC

I like the non painted tunnel. I removed the paint off of my sxr and polished it. It looks great. I will most likely do the same to my RTX.

Mighty, how did you get the sticker off the tank without scratching it.MightyWarrior said:Looks good but will look better when you get the warning stickers off the tank and tunnel extension. The tunnel one will come off easy, the tank one is a pain in the #*$&@ but is worth it once removed :ORC

Hey Rotax... I just got done removing the sticher from my tank. I picked it off with my finger without scratching it but you will have to remove all the goo left behind. I used Citrol it's kind of like break cleaner but will not hurt paint at all. takes the goo right off. Paint still looks perfect. It kind of is a pain but worth the effort.

On my 05 I used 3M Trim and Adhesive Remover, it is a spray, made for this purpose. It works pretty well

Rotax, I heated it first with a hairdryer and then very carefully used a brand new razor blade. Be sure to keep the blade as level as possible to prevent it from digging into the paint. Once it' off you then get to deal with the leftover adhesive. I used Goo Gone, it took quite a while but looks like the sticker was never there to begin with.

I used to work in a detail shop before my job at the refinery. The best and cheapest way to remove a decal is a hair dryer (or heat gun) and peel it off with your fingernails once heated slightly. Or you can buy special plactic razor blades designed for this (to save your fingernails). A great adhesive remover is good ol' WD-40.

If you get it to the right temp about 95% of the glue comes off with the sticker. ===SRXSRULE===

yes that works, but beware you don’t get it to hot. Did this before and my fingernails marked up the paint. Had a hell of a time on my Grizz LE I've owned and chipped up the paint finish bad with just my fingernails.
