So my heated grip on the left side quit working, does anyone have any suggestions, whats the best way to go? just get replacement from Yamaha or?
Thanks,
bradb

i had the yamaheaters module on my sled and it worked much better with the stock grips. then one of of my stock grips went out which isnt that uncommon. bought some rsi ones that dont go over the hook since my hands dont need to be warm out there. with the thing on medium now it was plenty warm. granted it was 15* outside. dont even need the yamaheaters possibly now but we will see next year when its -20* and im out riding. i also only hooked the white wire from the rsi grips up not both like some ppl do and its plenty warm.

Check the ohms on the grips to see if there is an open or short. Yamaheaters will not fix a broken grip warmer.

I had mine cut out..... I checked the plugs in the harness, it turned out loose connection

Thanks everyone for the replies, I will have to check the connections, I did buy the Yamaheaters at Haydays but when i went to put them on this winter guess what, i couldnt find them:(

I had my right grip cut out. I'm trying to remove the grip and having no luck. Is there a trick to this or is it best to cut it and buy a new one? I have the heating element already just can't get the grip off...

I have the same issue, but it's the left grip. I bought the RSI grip kit from Yamaha- just wondering how they'll work with my yamaheater kit?

I'm also having a hard time getting the grips off....tried drilling out the rivet but don't want to mess anything up

I've got RSI and Yamaheater and it works great. Hands are nice and toasty and I usually don't go over 3 or 4 bars....I changed my grips to RSI at the same time so can't help you with the grip removal as I cut mine but I suspect it would be similar to other grip removals....try compressed air and/or heat to help with removal. BTW....I went back to the yamaha grips as one of the RSI grips failed (hole in it) within the season (I wasn't impressed but may have been a defect)...
