so last year installed a m20 in my 2007 apex, install was pretty easy,6-8 hrs.Took it out for a drive, ride was soft but kept racketing,so tightened track more, problem solved.
pros
-great ride
-called fast many times, they where helpful and nice to deal with
cons
-track has to be super tight
-very little transfer
-10 mph speed loss
- hard on fuel
-very hard to set PSI,had the diamond setup
-if the psi was not set right, skid would go down 3/4 of the way and stay down, like in this vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5A7ZUFfQ08I
-after hours on hours of testing ,could not get it to work right, either to much air or not enough
-skid in ,skid out ,skid in ,skid out, checked ,shocks, arms etc
the only way this skid could work if it had a automatic system to maintain air pressure, you would start off at 70 psi, then you drive snow and ice change weight of sled, readjust air psi,me and some friends spent weeks to get it to work, finally gave up and sold it.
As you see in the vid, once the skid gets to 3/4 travel it stays down,i believe the rear air bag is not in the right place,or the rear arm geometry is not right, logic would dictate that,as the skid is compressed, more force is required to collapse it.

Hmm.....I just install a new M10 air 121 in my 07 apex and have had none of the issues you have mentioed......?I set it at their chart recommendations just for break in (was a little on the stiff side with too much rebound) then just added more FRA and keep bringing the PSI down in the rear shock until happy. Front shock was keep right at the first setting of 50 PSI. Limiter strap was left at full length. Iam sure I will play around with things too learn what effects or improves the ride. All I have to say is WOW! what a difference! Even at the first setting it was light years better than any set-up I had with the Pro Action skid. It works well enough now that I for the first time have too look into front suspension adjustments now to balance the rear. For me , over 40yrs of snowmobiling and it is by far the best dollar I have spent on the sport!!

shock
if you have the front skid air shock it will pitch you on small bumps to large, with platium shock
set up it works much better.

I have the M-20 Platinum Spec 136" skid and have not had the PSI issues you are experiencing. It did take a while for me to get the set up right, but the Fast Team was awesome to work with. I bought it used and they continued to work with me as though I bought new. I have extro drivers which help with the racheting, so i can run my track pretty loose. The ride is nice with almost bottomless travel and if the PSI is high enough, it will NOT bottom out. Let some air out and she rides like a Caddy. I will agree, weight transfer has suffered and I am sure I have lost some top end. The piece of mind of having a reliable skid under the tunnel is worth it!!!

I have an M20 on my 2006 attak. Had lot of problems with the bolts backing out. Well come to find out there was a missing lock washer. This year I pulled the skid red loctiete everything. Seems to so far stay tight.
Never lost a pound of air expect over long term storage for the summer. I bet if I go out there today it will still be sitting at 80 psi in the rear like I inflated it to three weeks ago. None of the issue of having to run it tight either as I have exto. I do have an issue with the front of the rails wearing the hyfax out quick.

I had the same problem with the front mounting bolts backing out even with the lock washers in place. The tunnel was damaged due to the moving bolts and I had to fabricate 1/8" steel plates to mount to the exterior of the tunnel and then remount the bolts with red loctite and tighten to 70 ftlbs per Brian at Fast. They are holding after about 800mi
