Where did you buy yours rxwhopper? I am in Moose Jaw right now, but moving to Goose Bay Labrador, and thinking of picking a mtn lite up.
Mind telling me what you paid? In a private message of course...

No hooks eh? There was talk of Canadian dealers carrying them with hooks after the website showed that information, and my dealer spoke of having hooks on the ones he's getting but I don't think so. What kind of mountain sled doesn't come with hooks?

Remember the fine print: "Specifications subject to change without notice".
Just because the preproduction photos show it with hooks, that doesnt mean that the actual production models will come with them.

Doesn't make sense to me why the FX would have hooks
and the Mtn doesn't? wouldn't it stand to reason that a mtn sled would get potentially more use out of hooks?

That doesn't make sense to me either. I've seen Fx's and they do have hooks (as pics on the site show). Should come with them, though you could probably just have the dealer install the FX hooks before you pick it up.

That's what I want them to do, install hooks before i pick it up...but what will they do, install regular ones that you can buy, or will they be the one piece connect to the hand grips? or what about that handwarmer replacement kit for the big bores, comes with the bar for easier installation right? But the bar may not be the same...so what do we go with for hooks?

Probably depend on how your dealer is with you. Don't know how the Apex kit would adapt to the Phazer. I haven't really looked at them side by side. I imagine just take a FX setup and putting it on would be easiest. Who knows though.
I was planning on just getting a regular plain jane phazer and using the $800 difference from the FX to update shocks. I notice now though that the plain phazer doesn't have hooks so I'll have to think of that too.

Thats why I went with the FX. It comes with the hooks, handguards and premium shocks right outta the box.
I was leaning towards the plain Phazer but once I saw all the added stuff the FX got and how it was only about $600 more, I went for the FX.
I agree that it does seem really weird that the Mtn doesnt have hooks. You would think that would be the sled that you would most want the added leverage.
If you do have your dealer install the hooks, I would specify that you want the Yamaha ones, not some cheapie Parts Unlimited hooks. Get it in writing so that they cant just give you a blank stare like they dont know what you are talking about.

Nice pics!!
Are those the standard Yami handgaurds? How much were they?
Oh and as soon as you get that chrome windshield mounted could you post pics? I've contemplated ordering one for mine, but I'd like to see how it looks first.
