just picked up a left over 06 apex gt, mechanic at dealer gave me idler wheels, and handlebars to do updates myself cause I wanted the sled that day and he was leaving for a trip, as far as prep for first ride, what needs to be done, its greased and battery is charged, any info on this sled before I head north next friday would be appreciated.

Make sure you double up the oil for the first tank, Pack extra cause you will need it. Bring lots of plugs because of the double oil. Make sure it isn't too cold out, don't want to melt it down. Bring lots of cash for the first rebuild and gas, 10 mpg hurts doesn't it. Just kidding!!!
You might want to look into the 06 bars plugged into the 07 harness, makes the hand warmers work the way there supposed too. Other then that enjoy the ride. Lots of good people and good info on here. Welcome to the dark side !!!

I love mine but the first mofo mogul you nail you will blow the seal out of that Ohlins shock and all of a sudden the rear end will be bottoming and dancing all over the trail. No need to worry just get the update seal and revalve job (call Bruce at Pioneer) once you take care of that you will love this sled.
