Hey guys this is my first post just joined this week. I have an 06 apex gt with the crappy idler wheels and was wondering if the wheels off an 04 rx1 would fit. I have been told they would but I wanted to check with you guys first before I order threm. Thanks.

In a nut shell, the bearings in the '04 wheels are too wide, and require some modification to run them. Call Kevin at Port-Yamaha. I just installed the spoked acc. wheels last night.

the 06 and early 07 wheels seem to be the culprit.
I had one guy bad on my 07 and replaced it and have not had any issues since. I also have no signs of any issues on the wifes 08 LTX.
I just took my bad wheel in, handed it to them, gave the vin info and he handed me a new one.
With the RX-1s they are a little different and will require some machining.

Hammy,
Here is another thread for you to look at.

If the RX-1 wheels use a 6205 bearing then you will have to machine 1.5 mm off of the mount to re-center the wheel. If they use a 6005 bearing then they will be a direct bolt-on.
