Just picked up my 220 mile Nytro shorty. Only has 220 miles on it. Had a flat spotted belt and was transported on an open trailer (excessive corrosion) but other than that it's very nice. Had Ski-Doo's and Cats and older Yamaha Vmax's 500 and 700 but this is my first 4 stroke sled. No snow to ride on yet in CT or Mass though
Looks like a new belt I had from my 1999 Vmax 700 is the same as this 2011? Go figure!

Yes some other brands have 20 or 30 different belts and Yamaha has probably less then 10 over the years. Not exact figures but they use the same belt over several years and models and one of the cheapest belts out there. Thanks god I don't have to buy $200 belts and wonder when it's going to let go.

Nice looking ride, you're going to want to update your location...a mod will chime in and tell you.
Where in Ma are you? I'm in Berkshire county. Picked up my 09 last year with 200 miles on it, it was stored in a enclosed trailer but had some corrosion also, they pick up a ton of condensation in trailers.

Welcome to the Nytro. You'll love the power and torque. I bought mine in 2009 (an XTX). Love the power and fuel mileage. I'd recommend switching out the skis the to new Yamaha dual keel tuners (or something else). The nice thing about the tuners is the price compared to the other brands. Also, I'd get a backpack or bags if you ever plan on going on longer rides.

Nice Nytro! I have the same one that I picked up last spring with only 400 miles on it. Mine was like new and great price. First thing I did was change the skis to a set of C &As. Much better.

I am located in CT and we usually ride out of Goshen DAR state forest and ride to Ashfield lakehouse, the Hilltop and Windsor and Savoy Mass. The trails are a mixed bag depending when you go out. Could be awesome sometimes or horrific other times.

That's my home trails...I have land in Windsor, I like to ride Woodford on Wednesdays and Thursdays then Savoy area on Fridays...Gotta hit the grooming right or it sucks.
