Stock seat was just waaaay to short for my 6.3" frame and 6" risers. Too much effort to go from sitting to standing all the time. So I decided to try my hand at re-foaming and re-upholstering. I had the seat redone last year by an "upholstery" guy, but he hacked the crap out of it. Lucklily, I was able to save and reuse the covering he put on it. I raised the total seat height by 4", narrowed the width by 1.5" per side, and added a nice hump towards the tank to help keep me from sliding forward a little. Weight feels the same.....give or take. Can go from sitting-standing w minimal effort now which'll make all the difference after a day of riding in the powder now.

Also just bought some copper donuts and HID's from Ian at Sled Toyz. Be nice to see at night now!!!!!

Looks great, particularly since it's your first stab at it. It'll probably suit your needs perfectly...good job.

It looks like that hump might be hard on the family jewels

Haha....nope not at all. It's 2 layers of soft foam running from side to side. I sit well behind it......now the handle bars.....they have been hard on the family jewels...lol
