After running a wide front end kit for all these years, I decided to put my never used narrow kit back on. I installed oilite bushings, powder coated the a-arms and spindles and am waiting for snow.

I am wondering if the narrow kit will be a little dangerous to ride. I know my Nytro MTX is scary and you need to be on the ball. I do mostly lake and bush riding. I went to the narrow kit to fit between the trees on narrow trails and ease of breaking new trails.

Next on the list is to replace exhaust donuts with copper and a new riser and bars.

I've been dicking around with this sled for years and it never gets old!

Good to see your still using the old girl. I have a lot of miles on my sled with narrow front end no issues. I do have the apex mnt skis and have them set out for the widest width I think it adds about a inch or so a side. The last time I replaced the donuts I had to use heat to lossen up the bolts. I also replaced the clamps on all four as they were shot

Yeah, the old girl still looks beautiful! I powder coated the A-arms red to match the cab and it looks sweet! Next is red and chrome lake effect risers with Apex mountain bars. I am taking off the 2in Challenger track because it is shot. I have a brand new151 Ripsaw 1.25 laying around in the garage that I plan to put on. I don't really want to, but the track is there so I might as well use it...save cash. At least I will be able to go WOT with this track down the lake. I couldn't do it with the Challenger because paddles would come flying off and damage my tunnel extension. I do have the Yamaha mountain skis on it now....and will go on the widest setting. There were on the narrowest setting with the wide kit.

I moved back to the north shore on Superior so I wont be putting the long miles on this season (no groomed trails around here). Will be all off trail hopefully we get some snow soon. All the storms seem to be just missing us. I think I had the front shock spring set fairly lose. This helped with the steering and handling. I read about it in a post years ago. I'm running works shocks on the front now.

After a couple of weeks of riding the sled with the narrow arms, I find it a hundred times better. It is better in the bush, less hassle in my enclosed trailer beside my Nytro etc. Just waiting for deeper snow to tip it on it's side.

Seems stable enough at high speed on the lake. My Nytro MTX is scary which is why I was concerned about putting the narrow arms on in the first place.
