Yamaha apparently has two versions of the high performance graphite slides (narrow & wide) for my '07 Apex GT (121")
SMA-8CM92-70-HP (about 1 1/4" wide).
SMA-8FU92-00-HP (about 1 3/8" wide).
Anybody care to comment on the merits of either?
I need to make a decision and any help would be apreciated!

the narrower ones are easier to put thru the track windows, there cheaper and less drag, which will give you more speed

I got the graphites off of hiperf.com They are cheaper than yamaha and last great. In Muni when everyone else burnt through 2 sets, I had 3/4 of mine left. Maxdlx

Thanks guys!
As always, I apreciate all of your input.
I am curious why Yamaha makes two versions of this slide that are so close (about 1/8") in width?
Are there any other differences between SMA-8CM92-70-HP & SMA-8FU92-00-HP besides the width?
I am assuming that the wider one is what Yamaha calls out for my Apex, so the thinner one must be for another application? A sled with narrower track windows?
I will probably go with the thinner ones based on all of your recomendations. My dealer has both types and they are the same price ($16.95 ea less my 15% disc.).
My dealer however thought that the wider ones will last longer since there is more surface area. However I suppose that you could look at that the opposite way as the wider ones may create more friction?
As usual I'm probably overanalyzing this, but I like to try to understand everything best as possible, plus I do enjoy the discussion.

thinner ones allow more window area and allows more snow in to cool slider, and they last LONGER.....faster on top end too.
