Hey, i have a Rage that i'm having difficulty setting up the suspension. I weigh 140 and ride very hard, and my dad weighs 275 and rides trails. How can i set it up so that it doesn't bottom anymore? I turned the middle shock to the hard setting, and all that did was kick me out of the seat when i hit a small bump on the trail, but still bottomed on the big stuff. Will adjusting the front shock(of the skid) help? Or the cam on the rear? I don't really know what to do. I was hoping that suspension video would help, but that really didn't work. I was hoping i'd be able to find a happy medium for me and my dad. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

What is your rear clicker set to ? Also occasional bottoming is OK.

It's set at 6 turns out i believe. It bottoms more than occasionally, though, that's the problem. I want a firm ride, but no kickback. Would putting the shcok back to medium, and tightening up the clicker help? I'm thinking prolly. I'll play with it tomorrow, and see how it goes. Thanks for the help, it's much appreciated.

Thats a big spread in wieght not going to be easy..should just buy the spanner wrench and set it at around 4-5 on stiffness for you and the highest for your dad and screw the clicker to about 3/4 way that I think would be about the happiest medium....you might just have to take the spanner wrench and back off when you ride back to 4 maybe 5 on stiffness probally 4 tho with clicker left alone. Hope that helps you.

I didn't see that you adjusted the rate adjuster at all. I bottomed quite a bit when I first rode my rage too. I moved my rate adjustment to firm and all my problems went away. My dampening and spring rates are now set a little on the soft side and I only bottom once in a while and it really isn't that bad. If you ride hard you want the skid set firm. This is sort of a "multiplier" for your spring rate and dampening. As your skid compresses the spring will seem to get harder at a given point than it would at normal rate position and yor dampening will do the same. That is why mine are now set a little on the soft side. All it takes is two 14mm wrenches to adjust.
