So I took off my carbs because my tach would fluctuate about 200 rpm at idle. Pulled bowls, gunk in bottom corners. Cleaned them all up, removed floats and all jets. Ultrasonic cleaned all jets and bowls, all look good. Sprayed carb cleaner through all passages in carb bodies, then compressed air. seemed that they were all open and good.
I still have a fluctuating idle, but now I have a constant miss from 1/4 to 3/4 throttle. You can really hear it through the exhaust. Can feel the lack of power. Sounds like a chevy 350 with glasspack accellerating, you can hear it. Not loud like there is a problem with exhaust, but the rumble sound. Must be missing on 1 cylinder mid range.
Any ideas or tips? It never had the mid range problem before.

WTF
one of the carbs was missing the main nozzle! P/N 8FA-14141-44-00
I wondered why one of the needles was a little bit crooked, now I know. Great. Will take a week to get here. We can't have much more than a week left of riding around here. I think we are on borrowed time as it is
