Hi guys I'm trying to install my copper donuts and new header but how do u pull the old header our it appears there isn't enough room to move it forward to get by the bracket to pull it out the rear this is on a nytro
Thanks

I beilieve to get it out easily you need to remove the flex pipes, some have forced it out but not pretty. When I removed mine I drilled out the rivets holding the header braket, but be sure replace rivets with quality ones. Also there are 2 alen bolts holding the header to the bracket, losses those off a little no need to remove completely.
Hope that helps

Ok thanks I ended up removing the flex pipes and got the new one on is there a easy way to check for any exhaust leaks before putting everything back together?

I hooked the tank up and started it got a lot of smoke inside the manifold Area is this normal with a new header and copper donuts or do I have a leak somewhere it doesn't seem to smoke until. It's been idling for about a minute

I recently installed copper donuts and had quite a bit of smoke too. I let it run a few times and the smoke has subsided. Maybe it is the copper donuts... or the penetrating oil I used when dismantling it in the first place.

ya thats what I'm thinking i would imagine you should here it if you have a exhaust leak more than anything

do a wet rag test or a tennis ball. start the sled and plug your exhaust if it quits you have no leaks. If it spits and sputters you have a leak.

RDAY, I went through the same thing in January. I changed mine and had a scary smoke show. Button it up and ride it, the smoke will stop. I didn't take the flex pipes off. I drilled the rivets and removed the mounting bracket. Good luck.

Ok i got everything back together and I noticed that there is a small leak where the silencer connects to the header pipe is this a big deal or no?

What would cause it though the gasket from the header to the silencer looked in great shape? And does anyone have a tip for reinstalling the shroud over the exhaust easier what a pita lol
