Need Help From Moutain GUROOS! Shorty going to Wyoming..

Im going from IOWA.. to wyomoing 8000-10,000 feet of riding

What can i do CHEAPLY to get my sled to run better in that Alt.?

Ive heard the moutain apex uses a 45 angle helix..

Can i just add the helix and run that.. or would it be a complete waste of time?

You CAN do nothing to the sled and have it work about 85%. I took a bone stock Warrior out there with no changes and it worked well enough to have a good time. The Apex is EFI so your set there. The Apex mtn does have a 45 but it also has a monster 162 to swing. That 121 is much, much more forgiving to clutching. You could leave your stock 51-43 in and crank up the pre-load to 100-120*.

Two things you will notice, your sled wont start as well in the morning and the throttle responce will not be as good. Oh yeah, you will have 30% less power too.

Other then that, dont worry too much about it. Just go have a good time. You wont be able to get very far off trail anyway Eric
