NEED HELP!! Rx-warrior backfiring and dying

My brothers Rx-warrior has a problem, that when you are crusing along and let off the gas (sometimes) the engine shuts down and wont go (kinda like when you have a TORS problem) but as soon as it gets back to idle it comes out of it.. It also backfires 2-3 times when it does it..

It backfires, dyes and comes back..

No check engine light coming on..

It acts like someone pulled the plug on the computer and plugs it back in when it comes back to an idle..


My guess is the TPS sensor..

any one have this problem before..?

It sounds like TORS. Have you bypassed TORS for testing? If you bypass TORS and the sled still acts up, then we'll look into other potential problems. Once you finish testing, please reconnect TORS.

By the carbs, there are two wire connections. Disconnect them and plug the two wires from the harness (i.e. not the carbs) into each other. This will effectively bypass the switches on the carbs. But, ... when you get done testing, please hook the TORS connections back up. TORS is a safety feature you do not want to run around with it being bypassed.
