Not sure what options I have, I can't change the plugs or get access to anything for that matter under the steering column. It was like this when I got the sled, what can I do? I tried sticking a curved needle nose pliers under there, but the nut continues to spin when I turn the screw.

What needs loosening on the steering column to change plugs? I've changed plugs on my 08 Apex twice and didn't need to remove anything from the column.

Ok, I guess I should have watched your video first. I see what you're talking about now. Can you wedge a screw driver so that you're holding the nut and applying downward pressure at the same time? That might let the screw come out.

I tried that, the nut is round and doesn't allow me to get a wedge or corner of it, it just spins...

yea, take a flat screwdriver and pry up on the screw as ur turing it, that should work, if not, your gona need to cut it outa there probably.

Try lifting the trim while you turn the screw

Helps if I look at the video.lol Just take the 4 blots off that hold down your bars it comes off that way. Those are in place from the 4 long blots that blot your bars and riser down

Can you maybe get some super glue in there? Mine was like that also...ok, not that bad but it was spinning. I got the bolt out and then used some super glue around the spinning nut. Then I don't tighten the bolt too much and use blue loctite. Haven't had a problem with it since...

Thanks Apex06!!! this worked and I got the screw & nut off...

in the future if this happens.
take a thin blade screwdriver and line it up under the head of the screw.
have a helper gently tap the screwdriver blade in under the screw head as you attempt to unscrew the stuck screw. if you are careful you will not damage the chrome ring
mine are stripped just like that and i have used this method to disassemble them. U dont really need the helper it just makes it easier.
