Ok guys, I'm not very mechanical but I've been trying to learn. I've done a lot of other things to my sled, but the simple one is getting me stuck and not riding yet this year.

Last year when I bought my sled from another person, I had the shop tune it up. So I never changed the plugs myself. So I removed the bolt on each of the plug covers. However, when I try and lift up on the plug covers, they don't budge. I called up a dealer yesterday and they told me to get some spray silicone and spray it in there and twist back and forth to loosen up. This hasn't helped either. I asked him if I should put a small screwdriver in there to pry them off and he said not to as I could short something out. Should I take a large adjustable pliers and pull it off or what would you guys recommend? Would really like to get out today...

It might be the wrong way to do it but I've always use the pry, ever so gently, method.

These must come out at the same angle they are facing. You may use a pry bar but use it gently and again presure must be at the same angle.

Twist and pull....can I say that?

It's not easy to get them out, keep trying and it will eventually pop out and you'll scar up your hand, and say a few choice words.

Why are you changing them? If the dealer did it last year you should be good until the chassis falls apart or you foul one out.

Exactly.

When I sold my 06 Apex it had 10 K on it and original plugs. Worked like a charm.

No need to change them if not fouled.

I've found the harder you pull on them, the more difficult to remove. Try twisting and pulling (very) gently and should come off.

X2 on asking why are you changing them?? I have had 11, 4-strokes now, and have never had to change a plug yet!! They were all getting 2-4,000 miles per year, and never had a issue. You don't have to change these like the old 2-strokes

Exactly! LOL

I pulled and twisted, it didn't take a whole lot of effort. I used the tools from the Yammi tool kit to get at the plugs. Once you get the first one out, the rest should be easy.
