Hi,
I just got hand of a Arctic Cat Yellow spring that I plan on putting on my Nytro this week.
But someone told me that the tabs on the AC spring is different from the Yama springs..
How do I know I get it installed correctly?
Thanks!

I might be wrong but I think what dimebag wants to know is if this spring can be mounted in the same way as a stock spring when thinking of calculating the twist angle?
Or is the coils different on this spring?
Or can you use the same way of calculating twist angle as on a stock spring?
Any ideas on how much twist on the yellow cat spring?

I don't know if it'll work...I guess that you're going to do some trial & error to see if you can make it work, especially with the different tension of the yellow spring.
One suggestion I have to check torsional twist pressure is using a spring scale to measure the twist of your current setup and compare it the AC one. Here is a pic that gives you an idea of what I'm talking about. I found this on the Snowmobileworld forum a few years ago. The thread is still there though and can be found here: http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/s ... 827&page=2
Instead of using the tool to hook the scale to, just use the "balancing holes" on the outer edge of the sheave to hook the spring onto. Again, I don't know if this method will help much, considering the different brand of spring.

My dealer told me to install the spring with 60 degrees wrapping, and I got it installed today..
He told me they have been running the yellow AC spring for some time now and it seems to work good even on the bigger turbo kis.
Im looking forward to test it this weekend, and will post back some results when i have gotten some miles on it.
Thanks
