I need a wiring diagram for a 1988 Yamaha Inviter. There is a problem with the wiring to the throttle switch or some component in the wiring.
The sled will not run unless the pin in the throttle lever is pushed up in to the throttle switch. Bypassing doesn't work or have any affect on the behaviour. Both switches seem are working and check out. Throttle cable is adjusted correctly.
Anyone have an idea what the problem could be?

That sounds like a bad wire on the carb side. You can't bypass with the normal method because the wire is broken on that end. In this case, to bypass, in the handlebar cover, disconnect the two wires from the throttle switch and connect them together. I'm having a hard time remembering, but I think that there are 4 wires coming out of the throttle switch and going to ONE plug. TWO of those wires are for the kill switch. Use an ohmmeter to determine which pair is for the throttle switch and short them together.
