I had the right side of my front part of my sled apart, and had to drill out the rivets that hold on the black plastic body trim that goes from the nose cone around the shock mount and a little bit back. I think there's 6 rivets that I need.. THe local yami dealer can't find the part # and I was on SHS' web site and couldn't find it either. Does anyone know the part # or have 6-7 of these black rivets available? I can pay via paypal.

thanks,
joel

go to the hardware store, buy the correct size rivets (head, diameter, and reach) only use STEEL rivets. stab them into a piece of carboard and spray paint them black. i have never bought rivets from yamaha unless i cant find the correct size. ;)!

but i did go on yamaha's website (yamaha-motor.ca) n searched what you wanted. under catagory "frame", refference number 78 and 79 part numbers 90267-48018 (12 required, you need 6 so this is probly them)90267-47200(3 required) in my opinion if you need to know how something goes back together, and what part numbers you need it is best to use the parts diagrams available from yamaha's website.

There is also a site advertiser that sells the correct rivets and colors. I just can't remember who it is. I think it was Crewchief?

Thanks all. I've got 3/16" rivets with right size head and shank length, but they pull thru the holes, so I figured I needed a 1/4" rivet or whatever it comes to in metric millimeters. I figured it'd just be easier to just buy yami ones for $0.70 each.. I'd rather find them at a hardware store though and be done with this project.

if you have reallly small fingers (like me as i'm only 17) you can just remove the airbox and put a 3/16 washer over the rivit. i had to on my vector. yamaha rivits are 3/16 and will pull through just like the ones you have. the holes on mine were not perfectly round. if you do not have really small hands you can just use a pencil magnet.

x2 on this if you can get to the backside of the hole and they only hold plastic on. I've used the heads of drilled out rivets as washers in the past.........;)!

Otherwise you'll need a multi grip rivet to fill the hole.

my only problem is that my rivets are aluminum... guess I'm off to a hardware store... Thanks all!!
