Swapping over my 03 RX to a apex GT front end and the upper a arm bolts at the spindle are not long enough, I get like 1 thread showing. Does the Apex Gt use longer bolts?
Also I haven't tighted the bulkhead bolts yet but it appears I have a lot of side to side (front to back) movement of the a arms. It moves up to 1/8" each way, will that tighten up when I tighten everything down? Also the long bushings seem to stick through the bulk head by 1/16" of a inch so when I tighten them down the washer will not even touch the bulkhead because the bushing seems a little long.
I also noticed there is no lower a arm bulkhead bushing! Yikes.
Also the apex spindles look to add massive caster over the rx one, is that the handling improvement?
Thanks!

Did some searching and it appears the lateral a arm slop is normal and may be less then most has expereinced, any issues if I shim them with washers so they are closer?
Also the bulk head bolt question is because there are no bushings installed on the lower a arms!! The bulk head appears to be ovaled very slightly. I removed the front bulk head bushing and test fit into the rear holes and it fits pretty good, I don't suppose there are over size ones? I could use like 1/64" more diameter. Once those bushings are in place the washer will sit flush and I won't have that issue described above. It threw me off not being familiar with that area and figuring out that BOTH sides are missing bushings!
I used the PP nylatron bushing kit for all over bushings and I was amazed at how much slop was removed from the almost new take off apex GT front end! Especially at the spindles.
Also looks like the apex GT upper a arm spindle bolt is a different part number and hopefully longer then the RX one so I will order 2 of those.
Thanks!

When using the Apex spindles, you must also use the Apex upper A-arms because they are a different length. If you don't, your camber angle will be way off.

Yeah I am using the entire thing, even the longet steering rods. I just didn't know the bolt was longer on the apex upper arm at the spindle. Thanks

I used some of the nylon washers (once the cup was removed and they were thinned down a bit by sanding on them) to tighten up the A-Arms on my RX-1. This worked great. It stopped a banging noise I was hearing from time to time.
Possibly someone could turn you out a couple oversized sleeves out of brass and then fit a standard bushing inside the brass sleeves. Of course you would have to ream out the bulkhead holes a bit to accept the new oversize sleeves.
