Need some help...Brake light issue

The tail light and brake light both work. But, it seems that I need to have the brake lever completely pulled before the brake light comes on. With the way these machines are setup, I rarely use the brakes. I am usually the "leader of the pack" so I need the brake light to come on when I just barely pull the lever to alert the guys behind me. Anyone run into this before? Any Ideas?

There's an adjustment for that. Under the brake lever you'll see a small lock nut. Loosen and rotate the round plastic switch.

It seems as though it is keyed or something. When I moved it as far as I could it didn't seem to change anything. Then I rotated it (what seems the next tooth) it stayed on all the time. I guess I will just have to rely on my buddies to watch me! Thanks for your help!
