Guys I have adjusted just about everything on this sled and maybe that's the problem I have it all jacked up!!
What I have is an 08 nytro std with clickers front shocks, upper ball joints have been modified to remove 2 mm , I have gone to tuners skis with 6in inside carbide and 4in outside carbide I have also pulled the straps up one hole and loosened the front spring on front shock in the rear skid and this sled still handles like crap, I also have 144 studs down the middle.
Any help would be appreciated
Maybe what is a good start over point
Thanks

If you have a owners manual all of the standard settings are in there. I would go back to factory settings and start from there with one thing at a time. If your fortunate enough to be able to ride from you shop take it out for a spin and go from there. Another thing that will help immensely with your input from the setup gurus here is your size, height, weight, ect. With you current mods you should be able to make that thing rail.

You need to describe what you're feeling and not liking. If I did it all over again knowing what I do now I would have started with a steering post relocate. It's amazing how much better control you have with it. I was skeptical at first but that changed after the first ride with the handle bars repositioned.

Guy thanks for the reply !!
I was thinking the relocator for the steering so that might be my next purchase.
As for what is happening the sled is just so twitchy it darts all over and plows through corners. I think I need more ski pressure but when I pull the strap up one more it's like driving a truck, I was also thinking going to heavier spring in the back because maybe with my weight 250 I am taking the weight off the skis.
So my stats are 6'4" 250# very aggressive rider mostly Michigan trails.
Guys can't thank you enough for all your insight.

What skis, and carbides are you running? Mine darted like it had a.d.d before I changed mine to c&a skis with 6-8" of carbide.

If it's just darting then set the toe to 1/2" out to see if that helps. Are the ski rubbers in properly? The rubbers have slits on one side which I call toes..... the toes go forward. When I ran the stock skis I found that shimming the rear of the rubber to lift the front of the ski helped with darting also. The relocate will help with steering effort so you can make some of those adjustment but I wouldn't tighten the front strap anymore than one hole and most have found loosening the center shock preload helps with handling by lower the center of gravity.

Have you checked toe out? Should be 3/8 to 1/2" min. Also make sure that they are running straight with the track. With the 08 and your weight pulling the strap and loosening the centre shock as you said you did is a must. The centre shock should only show 2-3 threads.
What is the condition of your ball joints? A arm bushings? If there worn then NO AMOUNT OF ADJUSTMENTS WILL HELP YOU!!
Also you didn't' mention where your spring is set on your front ski shocks? Most guys are running them backed off till you can rattle them with your hand (with the front end jacked off the ground) then tighten 1 turn. This I found to be a very sensitive adjustment in terms of steering effort but you may need more than 1 turn tight.
Disclaimer: I sometimes wonder if so many guys including myself have tweaked their sub frames or A arms by having the front ski shocks 1turn from rattle. If you bottom out the front end there is nothing to left to absorb the shock. I think that's why so many Nytro's have the shocks not cantered in the A arms any more?

No the bent subframes are more of a lateral force and as simple as the ski dragging across something that isnt snow or ice. Ball joints and welds would take more of a jolt from bottoming out.

The tow out is at 1/4 right now I need to make sure the skis are aligned with the track, I also have the center shock backed off to where the spring is just being held no pressure on the spring , the front shock I went with what sounds like the opposite way but I tightened them up thinking it would help with applying more pressure to the ground.

From your last statement it sounds like the front shocks need to be loosened up. This made a world of difference on my RTX, it has floats but softening the front lets it transfer weight and bite a little more in the corners. I look at sort of like weight transfer or body roll in a car. With the front so stiff it can't move and transfer weight so it pushes through the corners.
I am almost the same size as you, I have my rear strap pulled up two holes, six in shapers on the skis, and run my floats at about 65 lbs.
