Hey fellas,

Just bought a used 06 MOuntain Vector at HAydays this past weekend. Got it for $5500.00, good price? it has 1000 miles on it and it's very clean.

Does anyone have any tricks or common mods I should nkow about before the snow blows? How is this sled in general?

Also I thinkin TURBO TIME! What are you guys running? What should I look at paying? how is the reliabilty? If I ever go to sell this sled, could I put this turbo on a 4 cyclinder sled? (apex)

Any info is great!!

Thanks in advance!!

Turbo would be great, can't really put it on a 4 cylinder without some changes. Why would you want a 4 cylinder if you had a blown vector??? That will be a good sled.

If I was to do it all over again I'd turbo the Vector and not the RX like I've got. From what I've heard the Powderlites vector turbo is the way to go. By starting with a Vector you are already 22 lbs ahead of the game weight wise but you'll want to do the rider forward mod and get rid of lots of the steel parts. Once done the Vector will be a kickass sled.

turbo

The vector has lower compression so you can get away with more boost so you have about the same hp as a rx but lees weight. That's graet sled I would check out pwder lites or simons turbo for the vectors.

I was at haydays and I saw that vector se you bought. I was considering it but no way to transport it. that is a pretty good deal. and yes you want to turbo that vector.

love my alpine turbo at 16lbs very fast.have modded just about everything.still have a few more lightweight parts to go.530# with oil & coolant.so much fun. :4STroke: ;)! ;)!

Good price - yes! I paid $4300 for a 2005 Vector with 700 miles, but it had the 151 and some minor damage. It now has a 162 x 16 and a MPI supercharger, plus a Cat skid and Fox Floats... Pictures to follow when my digital camera gets back from the shop!

You will probably want to put boost to the '06 SE. We were lucky enough to demo one of those in Wyoming last year. It was very capable and got around fine, but it was not a powerhouse. Add some boost though, and hold on!
