Hi,

I'm moving from an 06 Apex to a 16 Viper, looking for information on what people out there consider best to use for ski system as in stock skiis or change to C&A's??? Any other helpful tips and hints for setup would be much appreciated!

Thanks!:sled2:

Everyone swears by the Curve skis for the viper, but that being said I've found 6" shaper bars on the inside and the stock 2" carbides on the outsides make a pretty decent ride if you aren't ready to drop 400+ on a new set of skis.

Has anyone done a comparison between the C&A's vs Curve XS? I'm reading alot about the curves, as mentioned above by Parepadarappa, and 4 of my buddies only ride C&A's... I don't want to just jump on the train cause they did it, rather hear from someone that's tried both or knows of the difference?

3 vipers in our group. All eventually went to c&a rz with shaper bars Really working well

Add a stage 3 Hurricane 300hp Turbo, SLP header, MSD Launch Control.

Not on a Viper I didn't, but on Sidewinders, back to back, same day minutes after each other, One sled had C&A's and the other had Curves. To answer your question between the two skis the Curves are better. There easier to turn and constant bite through the corners with zero darting.
Curves had slim jims,C&A had 6" round bar

Not everyone .... I prefer C&A's with Slim Jim dually runners over the Curves. Perform great in ALL conditions, light steering effort, no darting. Others may differ on their personal preference though.

I think that's a combination more people need to try with the razors, dually's. I had just dually's on my apex before i went to snotrackers for the cornering, the dually's held really well and eliminated all darting!

I agree I run the c&a Rz with slim jim duallys and absolutely love them. I went from the stocker single keel to the Tunner 2's with a 6 and 4 inch carbide by woodys. C&A A+++

If you are looking for what else to put on, I would say scratchers are almost a must if you ride mostly trails of varying conditions. On any hard pack or ice, I see a 15C temp drop by dropping my scratchers - I have the stock 1.6 track on my STX. I have found that there are actually very few times I ride even when conditions are great that I don't see an improvement of snow in the skid or engine cooling with scratchers.
