Hey us Apex guys cannot be left out on all the goodies for the Sidewinders!!! Here's the adjustable helix, but for the APEX!
I got probably the first one for the button style secondary!
My mounting studs were threaded in deep, so I had to back them out 2 turns to accommodate the thicker surface. (removed the studs, cleaned, red loctite, installed)
For the Apex these angles are available.... straight 45 and 46. Double 50/46, 50/43 and 52/46 and they are working on a special stud kit with shim for overdrive kit!! The ramps are interchangeable.
To install I removed the adjuster collar and the angle ramps and put that end of the spring in the helix and left the bottom out of the hole, pushed the helix down, threaded the nuts on a turn, then used a flat screwdriver to push the spring end into hole #3 on the clutch, it slips right in. Then tighten down the helix, torque to 17 ftlbs. At this point the spring is at it's loosest....so you can twist open the sheaves and slip in the angle ramps! Install the collar on the spring and the 3 bolts, and adjust spring tension!
Easy peasy!

I like! Be nice if we'd ever get more snow here...prob consider it...Getting sick of the winters here...either hardly any snow, or starts out good, then trails open, only to warm up for 4 days with rain, and all the snow is gone after trails were open for 2 weeks...

That is Goodwin SKU: 420-581 Yamaha External Belt Adjuster. I ordered it from ****.
I am pretty sure G-Force is also working on making adjusters for both the Sidewinder style and the Button Style.
Bottom line though, at this point in time I think only the Goodwin piece is available for us.

I did about 80 kms of trail riding Sunday morning and this helix worked flawless! So smooth the clutch shifting and clutches stayed nice and cool to the touch. Was wrapped at 65 deg, but backed off to 60.
This has got to be the nicest clutch component I've ever seen. Well done G-Force Division!

How did you order that? Did you just go to the store? I don't see it on the website.

I think you will have to call it in for the meantime. Gilles said their website is being updated this week....I see the SW version on there....
