New Attak. New twist!**EDIT 4 - "fat boy" mono spr

MPI has parts to get my chargeup and running. I should recieve the first of the week. Just got the word an 1hr. ago!

.......SOOOO that means I should have some reporting of the blower MPI (Mountain performance) has avalible by late next week. Just as soon as Rexburg Motor Sports can get her on. Yepppeee!

The reports of the blower right now are insane as far as the throttle response compared to the old rx, which is expected. The raw power is ALLOT more than the RX with same boost. I have rode the old RX supercharged and I should be able to compare the differences I think.

I think you guys (if I can get it installed at RMS and up to the hill in a hurry!) will see the pics first of one installed AND ACTUALLY DRIVEN FIRST as far as I can tell.....of course I'll get you the feed back!!

On another note I am doing this to give you guys some good info on whatever you want. I have always wanted someone to follow a build up WITH ACTUALL FIELD REPORTS and let me see how the issue they would run into were cured or made better. I am REALLY hard on my gear so I should see the bugs. So if you guys have comments or something you want more info on let me here it.....

BTW RISER INFO FOR YOU GUYS THAT PM'D OR ASKED ON THE THREAD.

The powermadd post that allows the bars to articulate of the stock post DOES NOT FIT!!

I forgot to get into this. The bolts that mount to the bottom of the stock post don't aloow enough room for you to bolt the riser on. There is a ridge that runs down the post to the point where the bolts mount. you must buy a narrower hex head bolt and then GRIND THE ridges OF THE POST TO GET THE BOLTS TO FIT. I did this with a dremel.

aLSO TO GET THE TALLER BAR ( 8 inches) THE ANGLE WAS CHANGED DRASTICALLY to the bars. The bars go striaght up. so moving the bars forward on the sled. Essentially moving the bars forward to GIVE more room to the cables as I went up. So if your riding position is standing up making you want to more the bars forward this is good.

See comments with pics!

Rode the sled with the new fat boy spring. The bigger mono spring IS MUCH better. It will really work for agressive riding and bigger folk who need a better ride. Really surprised a OEM parts really works.

That being said it is still not enought for myself and I may bring the clip up and give that a whirl. I am still at the stock setting.

The REALLY tall Floats thaat are on it do make it a little squrily. But i think in LArge part this has been cased by the fact I removed the sway bar. If you a pure trail rider don't remove it.

With is removed and the taller floats the sled was a dream in the ddep pow we were in. It was sweet!

been awhile since I posted. Allot has been done to the sled. I will start a new THREAD soon with new pics and info..

I'll post here directing you guys to the new thread.....

Anybody a subscriber to Sledheads mag here??? let me know.

Cool! Just finished checking out the post. How's that SC working? Any problems with big air and the Mono suspension?

The attack is incredible!! The suspenionis very well designed and has HUGE travel.. The shock is way soft for what I am doing but the travel....man it's insane.

I got the floats on toinight. Here's some info for you guys>>>
The float the Yamaha has for the Apex is short or at least stock length. If you get an M7 or other longer length model (something just over 17" stacok float is 15") you can get ALLOT more travel in the front IF YOU remove the sway bar to do this. I think I gained 2 1/2 " in the front of travel and the nose is up considerably. See the pic below of the front of the sled. Check the angle on the a-arms comparded to a stock shock angle and length!!!

I went with a little over an 8" riser on the bars. I thought for sure I would have to get extended throttle and brake. Not the case!!! A reroute and removal and wall-hah!!! that Really surprised me. ;)!

A 2" track WILL rub on the rear bar that is on the back of the heat exchager. I have a 144" and it hits in the reaer just before the cooler wraps arounds across the back of the tunnel. This can be easlity cured and I am on it. :?

I painted the attack with Krylon paint on the sides.

The boys at Rexburg Motor have been hard at it getting parts and putting the beast together.!!!

Blower this week, i hope. I'll post pics of that and results. :yam:
