New Exhausts for the SideWinder

I like the smaller one. Doesn't sound obnoxious at all and reminds me of my CBR1100XX with its Yosh exhaust

A few take aways.....
1) Damn, that thing stock is quiet! i can't imagine how quiet it'll be on snow. You don't even hear it coming until it's on top of you.
2) couldn't help but notice how quick it was getting up to speed with so little time on the throttle.
3) I like the sound of the quiet can much better than stock. closer to the sound of the Apex

Its not an apex sound but Its à lot better then the AC1100 Can't wait

I don't know if its just me or not,but when they let the stock sled run down,it sounded much snappier off the line compared to the piped one,and that drown sound reminded me of my 2012 turdbo cat, that I never liked the sound of,i will wait to see what others have and sound like.

I'm also going to wait, but i already miss that Apex ROAR! My FJ-09 triple was so quite, it sounded like an electric bike. Aftermarket pipe & i'm happy again. This 'Winder may be even quieter. It's not about decibels, but about ATTITUDE! I'm sure everyone knows what this sled produces & the yellow people are already making speed parts, but i NEED attitude...

I have a viper, i had the stock can which was fairly quiet. I changed it out to the EVO Quiet can.
Having the exhaust exit infront of you makes the sled sound a lot louder when you ride it.
If i put my head out in front of the bars the sled sounds quiet. Move back to a normal riding position and i need to wear earplugs when i ride..
I know the sidewinder is quieter than a viper but the exhaust exiting infront of you makes a huge input to rider noise.
I agree that you should Wait till you ride it and see what you think

I wonder if TD will offer the option of modifying stock muffler like they did on the 110 turbo. Basically, you shipped stock muffler to them and they put bigger inlet/outlet for more flow and power.

This was a nice option as muffler retained stock appearance, yet made 10 more horsepower. Also stock muffler is insulated for less underhand heat.

Anyone know if this option will be available for the Sidewinder???

thats a good thought...Im sure it will happen once they (and others ) start getting their hands on the stock cans to cut apart...once the machines are out there for a while and aftermarket exhausts are being installed.
