I decided to expand the use of genuine OEM Arctic Cat tether switches used in our M1100T ROV kits to our Yamaha line-up as well!
The OEM Cat tether has an inner seal to help keep out moisture while the tether cord is pulled. Additionally the Cat switch uses a brass plunger rod for a more robust construction. Compared to aftermarket rubber plug type switches which do not have the extra seal and use a plastic plunger rod.
Just like our previous ROV kits, the Cat tethered kit is aviliable with or without the High Performance Electronic Roll-Over Valve Control Module or ROVCM. http://fourstrokesolutionsllc.webs.com/ ... erovcm.htm
US patent #8,225,766 with other patents pending.

can the cat tether be put on the older kits plug and play and work in the same size hole that it uses? If so, love to have a price on it.
Thanks
Thanks

I have had a few guys ask about a conversion for the earlier kits. The Cat tether requires a 5 terminal switching relay in the circuit and I have been making a conversion kit. The conversion kit includes the OEM Cat switch and lanyard, switching relay and a stub harness. The Cat tether conversion kit comes fully assembled and plugs directly into the earlier style ROV harness.
Even though the Cat tether only requires a 1/2" it will fit the larger 5/8" hole and tighten down no problem

Price for the complete switch/relay assembly is $57 plus shipping.

Hey Bill, will the hole I drilled for the original tether still be usable? or is this one a different size?

Yes you can re-use it no problem. The original hole is slightly larger, but the black nut that screws down on top will cover it nicely

Also because the Cat switch has a very low profile underneeth the cowling, there will be more clearance to work with than before.

Great! I just wanted to make sure I did not need a smaller hole!
Thanks
