New owner of a 2011 Nytro XTX!!! Have a few questions

So far got the oft kit ordered up. Still deciding between the shorty skid and the full length. And am checking out tracks now.

Any idea what I could get for my 1 1/4 ripsaw? A few lugs missing on the outside, ( about 2-3 lugs from what i saw ) but other than that in excellent shape.

In my area the Kijiji (free ad site) is flooded with 144 Ripsaw take offs. They're averaging anywhere from $250-$350. I hope Yamaha see's that. It's a great track (1.25") if you're sticking to groomed trails but sucks lake running in 3ft of Pow. IMHO the 1.5 crossover or 1.75 BC is the best track out there for a Nytro. I'm hoping to find a slightly used either one, or I'm going to buy a new take off 144 x 2" and cut it down to a 1.6" and notch the bugger.
Good luck

Maybe I'll put it out there for $400 obo and expect to get lowballed on it.

Can't wait til I can get the crossover 1.5 extroverts and the clutch dialed in.. From what people say on a hard pack it pulls like crazy

Is the centre shock of a XTX the same as a RTX? Anyone?

No the XTX had the weakest centre spring of all the Nytro's. I'm not sure what Yamaha was thinking on that one, concentrate the weight in the centre and don't put in a spring to carry it.

One quick question. Since I will be working on the steering with the oft relocator should I put in the oilite bushings as well, or is there a lot more to it than that. ?

Also, after the relocate , or bushings will I need to realign my skis?

The oft relocate uses oilite bushings. You may want to check your front suspension for slop. If it is loose, buy the oilite bushings and replace. I did not need to realign my skis after putting in the kit. I had a difficult time adjusting the steering rod to realign my handlebars, but it wasn't off much anyway. I cannot tell if it isn't perfect right now. You're going to like it.

Well Just got back from Hauck. Ended up doing plugs, driveshaft bearing, oft relocator , had the clutches gone thru , glad I did as they found the buttons, weights and helix pretty chipped and/or banged up, and installed a #5 clutch kit with a new OEM belt

Couldn't be happier, sled runs mint, pulls hard, much better low end and slow speed, while pulls like crazy throughout the powerband, and a much more mild backshift. Really smart, great people over there and had no problems answering my countless questions, over the 3 hours I was there :)

The OFT kit is awesome , love the new position. Only thing I have to do is dremmel out the plastic a little to help stop the cables from rubbing, then put the rubber grommet/surround back on.

going to have to enhoy it quick as this is the worst start to a winter in about 4 years, as we have about 4-6" of snw on the ground, and we're looking at temps in the 50s for 3-4 days next week, which should easily wipe out the little we actually have .. :(
